According to reports, South Korea's LED factory Seoul Semiconductor will provide "patent wars" for global lighting, television and other manufacturers, and has issued infringement warnings to 29 companies around the world such as Taiwan / land / US / Europe.

In the industry, Seoul Semiconductor is known for its ultra-hard patents. In 2006, Seoul Semiconductor and global led manufacturer Japan Nissan launched a patent lawsuit. After three years of fighting, the two parties signed a mutual authorization contract.

It is reported that Seoul Semiconductor has started to visit 29 companies that have been infringed by Seoul Semiconductor since September. Among the 29 companies that were warned for infringement, there were 15 Taiwanese manufacturers such as Rongchuang (AOT, 3437), 15 mainland manufacturers such as Skyworth, 6 American companies such as Feit, and 3 European manufacturers including ledVANCE.

According to the company's official website information, Seoul Semiconductor's most frequently infringed led related patents include substrates, chips, packages and the entire system. Among them, it also involves patent patents jointly invented by Nobel Prize winners.

Among them, in the part of Taiwan's Rongchuang, according to Seoul Semiconductor, Rongchuang was infringed by the Taiwanese and Korean courts in 2006, but Rongchuang only changed the part model and continued to sell infringing goods.

At the beginning, the patent battle between Seoul Semiconductor and Enplas was difficult to understand. In 2013, Enplas tried to sue the invalidity of the Seoul Semiconductor Backlight Lens patent. Subsequently, Seoul Semiconductor launched a number of counterattacks, and finally was sentenced by the US federal court to Enplas deliberate infringement, paying Seoul semiconductor patent royalties of 4 million US dollars.
