Atheros CommunicaTIons, Inc. has released the AR6133 smart group and solution, the latest member of the Atheros Radio-on-Chip for Mobile / ROCm® series. The chip integrates 11n-compliant WLAN and Bluetooth 3.0 technologies to enhance the wireless link experience of gaming devices, e-books, portable media players, and smart books (a mobile personal computer based on the SDIO specification). The solution is based on the industry's highest performance mobile wireless local area network technology-ROCm single-chip 11n AR6003 series. By leveraging the innovative AR6003 11n technology, the AR6133 can provide end users with the highest actual throughput in the industry, while its power consumption is also the lowest among all 11n mobile wireless LAN solutions in the industry.
