For optimal sound quality and a wider soundstage, a higher-quality source device is recommended.

One of the standout features is the ability to swap out the ear tubes and cables. With three different tuning options—balanced, bright, and warm—you can tailor the sound to your liking. Changing cables is also an option, though it requires some experimentation to find the perfect match.

Many online reviewers mention that the SE846 lacks the deep bass impact of dynamic drivers and isn’t as dynamic in certain genres. Others note that the high-frequency detail resolution could be improved. However, these factors don’t bother me since I primarily listen to mainstream pop and casual music. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the SE846. My wife shares my enthusiasm, and we both agree that it’s a headphone capable of bringing our family joy and harmony.
