Cree's XLamp LED for Beijing Olympics

Cree, a leading LED solid-state lighting component company, announced that XLamp LEDs will provide effect lighting for the new Beijing National Aquatics Center. This swimming center is also known as the Water Cube, where the blister geometry is integrated into the square plastic structure of the Water Cube of the 2008 Summer Olympic Swimming Competition. Cree's LEDs will be designed from the transparent illuminating walls of the internal structure. The entire building can be illuminated by LEDs with varying colors.
