LED Epitaxial/Chip Factory New Century (3383) and Guanglei (2340), benefiting from strong demand for LED billboard applications, are expected to continue to rise Q3 revenue.
In the new century, the LED billboard business is mainly based on customers in mainland China. Currently, orders have been extended to second-tier cities. It is estimated that the company's LED billboard revenue will reach 30% in 2010.
Its lighting industry revenue rose to 15% and continued to grow, while new incoming large-size backlight orders are mainly based on new models and growing, Q3 revenue will reach NT$900 million, and the quarterly increase will exceed 40%.
In the new century, it is estimated that 20 new MOCVD machines will be added in the second half of 2010, and the total number of blue-green MOCVD machines will reach 55.
Guanglei has completed capacity expansion in Q3 in 2010, with the capacity of sensing components expanded to 1.5 billion/month and LED production capacity expanded to 3.5 billion/month.
At present, orders for LEDs and sensing components have also been placed at the end of the year, and now they have received orders for US highway billboards. Guanglei expects Q3 revenue to reach NT$2.3 billion and increase by about 20% in the quarter.
