A few days back, Microsoft made the Windows 10 S system image available to MSDN subscribers, and now they’ve announced a range of PCs targeting the education sector. Alongside this announcement, the official release of the Windows 10 S system image download has also been rolled out.
Attached is an image showcasing one of the new PCs designed with educational needs in mind (insert image). The Windows 10 S operating system made its debut at the event on May 2nd, primarily aimed at the education market. This version of Windows comes with a key feature: applications can only be downloaded and installed via the Windows Store. Despite this restriction, users have the option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free this year. Starting in 2018, however, the upgrade will incur a fee of $49.
Even though Microsoft has now opened up the installation of Windows 10 S to the general public, it’s important to note that not all users are eligible. Only those running Windows 10 Pro, Professional Education, Education, or Enterprise editions can download and install the new system.
Once a user successfully installs the Windows 10 S system, they gain access to all the features it offers. If the user has been authorized before, they can also upgrade to Windows 10 Pro directly from the Windows Store.
According to Microsoft's documentation, this new system is intended primarily for testing the compatibility of educational PCs, though it can technically be used by anyone. Microsoft cautions users that certain peripherals requiring custom drivers might not function correctly, and some drivers may encounter issues as well.
Here’s another image showing some of the educational hardware that pairs well with Windows 10 S (insert image). It’s clear that Microsoft is placing significant emphasis on the education sector with this release.
While the focus remains on education, the broader implications of Windows 10 S could extend beyond schools. As more users begin exploring this new OS, it will be interesting to see how it evolves and whether it gains traction among other consumer groups. For now, the system seems poised to make waves in classrooms around the world.

Semiconductor Chip Carrier
Semiconductor Chip Carrier can be divided into thermo-electric modules, and the power electronic substrates.
Thermo-electric modules are plate-like semiconductor cooling devices that work by using the movement of heat when a current flows through the junction of two different metals. Compact, lightweight, and Freon-free, they are used in climate control seats of automobiles, cooling chillers, optical communications, biotechnology, air conditionners, dryers and a variety of consumer electronic products.
Application of Thermo-electric module Manufacturing Technology for Heat Dissipation and Insulation Substrate
Generally, organic and metal substrates are used in the circuit boards of low-power home appliances and computers.
However, alumina, aluminum nitride and silicon nitride substrates are used in heat radiation insulated substrates of power modules that handle high power.
In particular, silicon nitride substrates are attracting attention for use in power modules of inverters and converters because of the increase in sales of HEVs and EVs.
