The new STiH253 full-featured digital video broadcast chip expands ST's portfolio of interactive digital video (DVR) capabilities, integrating a DVB-T2 demodulator, enabling device manufacturers to develop highly integrated ground set-top boxes. Another new set-top box chip, the STiH271EL, is ideal for low-end and mid-end markets that require entry-level set-top box functionality without compromising video quality.
At the heart of the STMicroelectronics set-top box system-on-a-chip product line is a performance-enhanced processor engine that integrates a rich set of features to improve the design efficiency of the end product. This robust processor engine allows operators to use low-cost memory while meeting the latest low-power targets.
